BWI Student Exhibition Spring 2018
Please upload your digital file and fill out a separate google form for each student that you are submitting. Students in grades PK-12 are eligible.
Selected image files/artworks need to be vertically oriented to fit BWI frames that fit the 18x24 dimension. A high resolution file size should be at least 1MB with a resolution of at least 300 pixels per inch.
All artwork must be original student content and appropriate 2-D subject matter to be viewed by all ages in a public space.
MAEA Standards for Academic Honesty: • Students will create original artwork. • Students will act ethically, without plagiarizing, when using existing imagery to research and/or create original art. • Students will cite original sources and demonstrate the appropriate use of copyrighted and public domain imagery. • Students will make substantial transformations beyond simple duplication to source imagery and ideas. This transformation must surpass copying the image in another medium. The resulting artwork must alter the formal qualities of design, express a new idea, and/or alter the meaning of the source.
Submissions are due no later than Friday, April 13, 2018. The submissions will be juried and 24 artworks will be selected for display. Ideally, we would like each districted to be represented. Selected image file/artwork will be digitally reproduced and matted by MAEA and returned to the student after the exhibition.
