Mission Statement
The mission of the MAEA ED&I Commission is:
1
To do the necessary and important work of examining and dismantling systemic inequities and incite organizational change within art education.
2
To ensure equitable access to the benefits of membership and leadership opportunities.
Tool Kit

To fundamentally increase the capacity of Maryland art educators to enact change that ultimately fosters greater equity, diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility throughout professional communities of practice.
4
To encourage pedagogy and practices that value and celebrate the diversity of people and ideas our students reflect.
