Julia Sigrist - Rising Stars Secondary Recognition Program

This year the Maryland Art Education Association awarded 47 visual arts teachers across the state of Maryland in recognition for their outstanding service in their school districts. The awards ceremony took place November 12, 2016 at the Walters Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. In addition to the 47 District Level awards MAEA award three state level award to Sheldon M. Gryder-Lebowitz from Pinewood Elementary School in Baltimore County Public Schools, Rebecca Pagani from Hereford Middle School in Baltimore County Public Schools and Bethany Dentes from Landsdown High School in Baltimore County Public Schools. Lastly, Maryland Arts Education Association announced Nan Park Sohn as the 2017 Maryland State Educator of the Year. The list of teacher’s awarded is listed below:
